Haiti - Health : Mission of investment in health

A delegation of 9 members of the Foundation "Hope and Health in Haiti" is on the Ile-à-Vache Haiti, since July 22. The delegation's visit, which ends July 27, follows the Mission initiated last June by the General Consul of the Republic of Haiti in New York, Dr. Charles Forbin, to study the feasibility to establish a partnership with the Haitian Government, with the objective to expand and modernize the dispensary of the Ile-à-Vache.
The Foundation wishes to work in collaboration with the Haitian Government to facilitate health care across the island. Following this visit, the Foundation will submit its project to the Ministry of Public Health.

- Dr. Emmanuel G St Louis (Family Medicine and Ob/gyn) : Vice Chairman Family Practice, Department The Brooklyn Hospital, Assistant Professor at Cornell University School of Medicine ;
- Dr. Thierry Duchatelier (Internal Medicine and Cardiology) : Chief Cardiology Division Mercy Medical Center ;
- Dr. Yolaine St Louis (Pediatric) : Pediatric and Pediatric Endocrinology Chief, Pediatric Endocrine Division Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Associate Professor Albert Einstein College of Medicine, assistant Professor at Downstate College of Medicine ;
- Mrs. Kathleen St. Louis : Administrator and executive secretary FHHH ;
- Marie Noel Lang : Physician Assistant (emergency room) ;
- James Lang : Emergency Technician (EMT) ;
- Mark Esposito : Radiology technician, medical assistant ;
- Nachelle Aurelien : Medical assistant, medical student ;
- Alexandra St Louis : Medical student.
The expansion and modernization work of the dispensary of the Ile-à-Vache will certainly contribute to the creation of jobs. The Consul General Forbin, supports this mission of investment in health, which will favor the Human Development and economic growth.
