Haiti - Politic : The Haitian Political Party Tèt Kale formally constituted

Thursday, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice announced that the Haitian Political Party Tèt Kale (PHTK) of center right with liberal tendency, whose he is a member, received its legal recognition allowing it to operate officially, noting that the Head of State was not a member of PHTK but had affinities with the new party.

The PHTK will be led by Anne Valérie Thimothé Milford, Chief of Staff of President Martelly with the support of twenty people whose Yanick Mézil, Minister for Women.

Me Jean Roudy Aly, Director General of the Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the PHTK had filed its documents and the list of 5,000 members spread all over the territory, in accordance with Article 18 of the Decree of 31 July 1986 on Political Parties .

The former Sen. Joseph Lambert, Coordinator of Konbit Sidès expressed interest to be part of a platform with the PHTK. Former Senator Youri Latortue of Party Ayiti An Aksyon (AAA) has also shown an opening on a possibility of political platform, while specifying that no discussion was initiated on this subject. For the Coordinator of the "Pati Politik Peyizan" [the banner of President Martelly] it stresses that no discussion has taken place so far, to whether or not the party will be part, of a platform with the PHTK.
