Haiti - Social : 480 women of the neighborhood Warf-Jérémie, receive assistance from the program «Ti Manman Chéri»

Marie-Carmèle Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of human rights and the fight against extreme poverty, accompanied by Klaus Eberwein, the Director General of Social Assistance Fund (FAES), has proceeded Thursday, in the former Parliament premises, to the distribution of an assitance to 80 women-mothers, came from Warf-Jérémie, a neighborhood vulnerable of Cité Soleil, victims of Isaac. These assitances, amounting to 500 gourdes [± 12 U.S.) will be transferred on Friday, on the phones, that have been distributed to each of the beneficiaries.

This assistance, which is part of "Ti Manman Cherie" one of the components of social protection established by the Government Martelly-Lamothe, will continue over the next six months. "Mothers eligible will be able to enroll on a regular basis in the program 'Ti Manman Cheri' at the end of six months," announced Klaus Eberwein. These women have also received a food kit of program "Aba grangou" component of social protection, working to strengthen food security.

Friday, the office of the Minister Delegate, proceeded to the distribution of materials to members of community-based organizations, wishing to open their micro-enterprises in a perspective of solidarity economy.

This Saturday, it will be the turn of mothers in Léogâne, to receive the assistance of the program "Ti Manman Cheri" and a food kit.
