Haiti - Politic : Friday, Laurent Lamothe has not responded to the invitation of deputies

Laurent Lamothe, convened for the first time Thursday, September 13, by the 20 members of the PRI (Parliamentarians for the Institutional Strengthening) had requested the postponement of this convening to Friday. However, due to his busy schedule, the Prime Minister wrote again to the deputies, to ask them for a second postponement.

Given that parliamentarians are on vacation, they are unable to issue a new convocation [because of the regulations], but they intend to use the Commissions, which are permanent, to send an "invitation" to the Prime Minister.

The Deputy Sadrac Dieudonné (MOCHRENHA / Gonaïves), President of the PRI, declared Friday, visibly frustrated by this absence "[...] We can not make convocation when we are on vacation [...] but we will make an invitation since commissions are permanent [...] and at the level of the PRI, we have the Presidents of the Commissions Planning and External Cooperation, so these two Commissions may very well put together to make the invitation.

It is not only the Prime Minister who will be invited, other ministers will be on our agenda before the next legislative session. The Minister of Social Affairs, the Minister of Sports, the Minister of Finance can prepare and there are others that we will invite. There are Ministers that we do not recognize, because, perhaps you do not know, the Government had sent to the Chamber of Deputies a bill on the name and number of ministries and the Chamber of Deputies rejected the bill, which makes there are several ministries or ministers that we do not recognize [...] such as the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Human Right and the fight against poverty [Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste] [...] is they have an allocation in the budget, really we do not think [...] anyway, the Prime Minister has a lot of explanations to give, so we say him, that the best for him, is to be present the next time we invite him, because we do not accept that is removed our right to do our job properly and correctly. This is a legal ultimatum, it is a constitutional ultimatum and we say to the Prime Minister, that he must appear to the Chamber of Deputies..."
