Haiti - Politic : Denials and warning of the Government 19/09/2012 11:13:13
The Ministry of Communication, recalls that the President Martelly is committed to respect the individual and collective freedoms, as well as the freedom of opinion and expression of all citizens. However, he warns against the abuse of power and the attempts to verbal intimidation, bearing prejudice to the serene climate, and necessary to the dialogue, that strives to achieve the Government headed by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe. The Ministry of Communication, invites all those who want to strengthen the rule of law, to stand out from all those who would advocate the dictatorship in the country after being elected democratically and which multiplies daily, the gratuitous provocation acts. In addition, the Ministry rejects the serious charges proffered by the citizen Gabriel Fortuné, against Mr. Ronsard Saint-Cyr, the Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, which claims to foment a plot against his life. According to the Ministry of Communication, these allegations defamatory, tend to misrepresent the image of the Minister of the Interior and participate to a desire to discredit the entire Government. The Ministry believes appropriate to make a formal denial to the accusations of Mr. Gabriel Fortuné, which attempts to mislead the public into error in favor of ulterior interests and calls the population in general and that of the Department of the South in particular, to show serenity, recalling that the democratic game, requires that the citizens respect the law, necessary to the harmony.
