Haiti - Tourism : Prospecting visit of Mr. Ranieri (Punta Cana Group)

Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, held a meeting Tuesday with architects from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) who offer their services, in restructuring and in construction of tourist buildings, to the Government.

Wednesday, the Minister met a delegation of investors from Montreal, to whom she presented the vision of the Ministry and potential of Haiti.

This weekend, Stéphanie Villedrouin went on the coastline of Côtes-de-Fer accompanied with the Investor, Frank Ranieri, President of the Group who developed the tourist area of ​​Punta Cana (Punta Cana Group) in the Dominican Republic [recently appointed member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Economic Development and Investment (CCPDEI)], which is in prospecting visit to Haiti. Discussions took place between Mr. Ranieri and the owner of the beach "Coby Beach" in Côtes-de-Fer. The Minister also met with Mr. Ranieri on the site of the Beach.

After having visited the coastline of Côtes-de-Fer, accompanied by the businessman of Punta Cana, the Minister went to Camp-Perrin towards the Saut Mathurine, to observe the progress of development works in progress "[...] This is a place where there are many beautiful beaches, I was with Frank Ranieri [...] and he is shown very interested in investing in Haiti, it is a very good news for us [...]"

Tourists will be transported on horseback, which will create another interesting economy for the inhabitants of the area, and we can make a pedestrian entrance, we talk about eco-tourism [...]"
