Haiti - Security : The Prime Minister outraged !
The Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe strongly condemns the assassination of the young student Damaël d'Haïti [24] fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law and Economics (FDSE), occurred Saturday evening at the party organized for the integration of new entrants, in circumstances still unclear. In a statement, the Prime Minister "would like to reassure University community that all measures are taken to ensure that this outrageous act does not remain unpunished. Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, presents its condolences to the family of the deceased and reaffirms its commitment to fight impunity."

According to the testimony of students, Damaël would have been killed by a police officer on site.

Following this incident, Frantz Lerebours, the Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) declared "We had a police officer on site, that they [the students] accused of this act, and the first step that we made it is to put this officer under our control. He is currently being interrogated at the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) because he had behaviors that are not in his favor at all. But, do not yet have many elements on the circumstances surrounding this tragedy, this is the version of studentswe have. But his behavior and indices play against him [...] we assure to the population, his parents and the academic community, that justice will be done on this case, and we take this opportunity to send our condolences [...]"
