Haiti - Reconstruction : Beginning of the work of wharf of Petit-Goâve

Saturday, November 10, Mr. Robes Strionyme, Director of the Haitian firm ECOMAR, accompanied by Deputy Thimoléon, of the Mayor Sandra Jules and other local personalities, visited the wharf of Petit-Goâve in the presence of a large crowd.

Mr. Robes Strionyme took the opportunity to announce the official start of the reconstruction work of the wharf of Petit-Goâve from November 15, 2012 "It is my company, that will execute the work. The city will have a wharf in iron, modern, strong, durable, comparable to that of Port-au-Prince lasting more than 25 years without maintenance. But with maintenance this wharf will provide 50 years of trouble-free service." An announcement that has rejoices the citizens who congratulated the President Martelly to have complied with his campaign promise.

"The forthcoming reconstruction of this wharf illustrates very well, that Michel Martelly is a man that keeps his word [...] [...] I estimates that the 350 years of the city of Petit-Goâve, are at the same time launched and that all the inhabitants of Petit-Goâve will benefit from this opportunity," declared Luc François aka "Louco", a well-known notable of Petit-Goâve.

The Deputy Thimoléon, stressed that he had contributed significantly to efforts to achieve the reconstruction of the wharf of Petit-Goâve and appealed to the social peace "it was also one of my campaign promises. I want to take this opportunity to seek the cooperation of the population, regardless of sector, we must act and work together so that a climate of peace, of stability reigns at the commune level. As long there will be tensions and protests by here and there, Petit-Goâve will not advance. I ask the enemies of the city to give him a chance [...] Petit-Goâve must engage firmly on the path of development"
