Haiti - Security : Godson Aurélus finally installed in office
After having been designated by presidential decree and following its ratification by the Senators in August, 17 in favor, 0 against and one abstention [Jean Charles Moïse] Godson Aurélus, former director of the judicial police, became the new Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), replacing Mario Andrésol,
yesterday Thursday, Godson Aurélus was finally officially installed in office at the head of the PNH.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mr. Laurent Salvador Lamothe, of Minister of Justice and Public Security, Jean Renel Sanon, members of the High Staff of the PNH, the civil and religious authorities and personalities of the Diplomatic Corps and representatives of the international community, in the premises of the police academy.

During the ceremony the DG of Police declared, "I know all the resentments and individual dissatisfactions that demotivate the staff and ultimately rob the police institution of its most deserving executives, so today I want to tell you that no one is better placed than I to know the extent and validity of claims ,"
