Haiti - Tourism : 18 Canadian travel agencies in Haiti

Wednesday, at the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism and of Canadian tour operator Transat, 18 Canadian travel agencies represented by 26 agents, are arrived in Haiti as part of a Eductour aimed at promoting the tourism package of Transat in Haiti.

These travel agents will follow the circuit of the package of Canadian tour operator in Haiti, with an extra night in Port-au-Prince to visit the hotels listed in the register of Transat Holidays. They will spend 3 nights in the capital and four others on the Côte-des-Arcadins.

The purpose is to make est the formula of package Transat, to professionals during several days, which will become, then the best ambassadors of the product. This Eductour obtained a significant support from the hoteliers including of institutions of Haitian private sector of tourism engagedas part of Transat package, such as : Quartier Latin, La Réserve, Hôtel Oloffson, the Observatory of Boutilliers and the Haitian Agency Citadelle.

In addition, remember that Mrs. Pascale Hilaire, Development Manager of Haitian Market for Canada, had conducted a two-days prospecting tour 8 and 9 March, in the north of the country to test the quality of service of Hotels of Cap-Haitien and of tourism operators of North-East, in the perspective of extending the package Transat in the destination North for a winter break multi destinations, intended for Canadian tourists arriving from Puerto Plata.
