Haiti - Politic : The names of the 3 representatives of Parliament, sent to the Executive 19/03/2013 11:03:20 Mr. Pierre Simon Georges, former Secretary General of the Lower House, will represent the presidential majority since he was selected by members of the majority bloc pro Martelly "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP). Mrs. Marie Clunie Dumay Miracle, former deputy of Croix-des-Bouquets / Thomazeau [48th Legislature], the constituency currently represented by the Deputy Jean Tholbert Alexis, President of the Lower House, will represent the women's sector. Me Néhémy Joseph, former representative resigned of the Bars Federation of Haiti, to the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), will represent the media sector. The Head of State, while congratulating the parliamentarians for this important step,they have just crossed, is still waiting for some additional documents, to establish in the best delay the CTCEP, in order to organize the next elections in the country. If we can hope that this first step in the right direction, allows to consider an out of the crisis, the divergences on these designations, both within Parliament and the Executive, suggests further clashes... Some senators accuse Jean Tholbert Alexis, President of the Lower House to have imposed the former deputy Clunie Dumay in the place of Mrs. Lise Marie Déjean voted unanimously by the Senators. Joseph Lambert, Advisor to the Head of State disapproves the appointment of Me Néhémy Joseph, describing it as provocation, indicating that this provocation requires a proportional response, evoking the possible renewal of Josué Pierre-Louis, representative of the Executive within the CTCEP and declared "A provocation, provocation et demie". The Senator Jean William Jeanty, contests the appointment of 3 representatives who according to him, is not the expression of the will of Parliament, saying that the names of Pierre Simon George and Marie Clunie Dumay Miracles, were not included on the list of candidates forwarded to Parliament. The Senator Steven Benoit denounces the sending of two letters signed, one dated March 18 and another during the weekend, demanding explanations and washing his hands in these controversial choice...
