This weekend in Gonaives (Artibonite Department) took place the 4th meeting of the leaders of the Democratic Opposition in order to consolidate their position face the power in place, among these political leaders we could note among others the presence of Arnel Belizaire [Deputy], Evans Paul [Leader of the "Konvansyon inite demokratik" (KID], Jean Gabriel Fortuné, Levaillant Louis-Jeune [Deputy], Mirlande Manigat ["Rally of National Progressive Democrats" (RDNP)], Marise Denise Claude [Haitian Christian Democratic Party (PDCH)], Moïse Jean Charles [Senator], Me Newton Louis Saint-Juste, Sorel Jacinthe (Deputy, former President of the Lower House], Turneb Delpé [Spokesman of "Tèt kole"] and Yves Muscadin Jason [former Mayor of Port-au-Prince].

These assizes, in addition to the topics discussed on national sovereignty, the struggle against bad governance, the mobilization against the government in power and the holding of fair elections, have allowed to announce the formation of a common front against the government against the government team in place.

The participants have affirmed they will be ready, if elections are held this year and that they will present a candidate in each department, anticipating a huge turnout in elections fair, transparent and credible, the political leaders have expressed confident of a victory of their candidates.

The main strategic axes of the opposition, will be announced during the next meeting. Marie Denise Claude has concluded this meeting by stating that "It is around this new project of society, that the struggle against the power 'Tèt Kale' will be truly orchestrated."
