Haiti - Tourism : Prospection, promotion, acquisition, in the tourism sector 17/04/2013 14:14:33 Visit to the Park Martissant : Tuesday at the invitation of the President of the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL), the former Prime Minister, Michèle D. Pierre Louis, Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism conducted a courtesy visit to the Habitation Leclerc (Park Martissant) with Mrs. Frisch (MUPANAH) and Ms. Rocourt of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN) . Journalists visit the MUPANAH : Friday, a group of Canadian journalists, visited the Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH), this guided tour of the museum allowed them to discover the history and cultural wealth through the permanent collection and current exhibitions : "Toussaint Louverture and the Haitian National Pantheon and Saint Soleil, 40 years later". Apart MUPANAH these journalists visit other sites in the country. Their stay from 10 to 17 April falls under the partnership agreement of promotion of tourist package, signed between the Ministry of Tourism and the Canadian tour operator Transat. The El Rancho acquires the Hotel Villa Creole : The El Rancho acquires Hotel Villa Creole. After its renovation the Hotel El Rancho, will offer 86 accommodation units to which will be added 40 rooms of Villa Creole plus 50 additional rooms for the El Rancho when Phase 2 of the project will be completed in 2014. This will be the largest hotel complex of the metropolitan area. Visit of exploration in the North : The Northern Regional Office of the Ministry of Tourism, welcomed at the International Airport of Cap-Haitien Saturday, April 13, 2013 a delegation of Transat and of Canadian Journalists who came for two days to explore the tourism potential of the North and produce special reports on the Destination. This will strengthen the willingness of Transat to come with groups of tourists Canadians, to experience the experience the North Destination. HL/ HaitiLibre
