Haiti - Politic : «Chavez, this name is synonymous with courage, vision...» dixit Martelly 07/05/2013 10:53:17 Speech of the President Michel Martelly : "Honourable President, Colleagues Heads of State and of Government, Major State Army Forces Members of Government, Venezuelan people, It is filled with emotion that I rise today to speak, of mixed emotions, a touching moment, a moment full of pain, because there are two months ago, at this very hour, wa have all lost a friend, a brother. And I said mixed emotions, because there is also this time of joy, that comfort, because every time that we said Chavez, this name is synonymous with courage, vision, and leadership [applause]. But you know what God wants man can prevent. It is therefore God that wanted, that made that the President Chavez is no longer with us today. But it is the same God who gave life to President Chavez, to lead this struggle, this struggle to improve the living conditions of the poor, be for us this inspiration, this symbol around which we gathered o strengthen the Latin American and Caribbean countries, we can say today, that the President Chavez is not dead and will never die [applause]. Today, President Chavez lives through the children he loved so much, and for which he has always dreamed of a brighter future, President Chavez lives through the youth for which he fought all days, youth which today are involved in this struggle ; today he lives through the biggest, the elderly, the disabled ; today, the President Chavez is no longer a body, it is no longer a man, the President Chavez is a mentality, a way of doing, the President Chavez is a mission and I wish today, that us, the eaders of Latin America and the Caribbean, we draw from his mission the essential, the improvement of living conditions of the poor, noble mission. Today it is our role to continue to fight this battle ? We must engage ! Make the dream of Commander, our mission. Thank you." [applause] HL/ HaitiLibre
