Tuesday, on the Champs de Mars, the President Martelly and his wife Sophia Martelly, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, members of his government, members of parliament, members of the presidential majority "Parliamentarians for stability and progress "(PSP), Senators close to the Government, the high Staff Officer of the National Police, the great servant of the state and special guests commemorated with pomp, the second anniversary of his accession to Power.

Tens of thousands of people attended the event on the Champ de Mars [nearly one million according to the Economic and Social Assistance Fund], to celebrate this anniversary, without really knowing if the crowd had come to hear the report of the President or enjoy the carnival atmosphere that has continued until late at night.

"Many of you already know the program of free education, of health, of revival of agriculture, of development in the tourism sector, the construction of roads across the country [...] Today, I can tell you that the country is on the right trackand has become a destination for all the presidents of the world." According to the President Martelly, the International has today a different image [positive] of Haiti.

The Head of State has not presented personally the official record of the actions of his administration, but left it to Jacques Timoleon, the President of PSP, to invite in turn, about forty deputies members of the majority block, to report on projects carried out in their communities [Construction of roads, schools, hospitals, health center etc...] which gave credibility to the report of the Government.

If the presidency is awarded itself a good report, the opposition estimates see no reason for satisfaction and instead sees a negative balance. For Senator Francisco De La Cruz, the record of President Martelly is shining only in matter of propaganda, highlighting the deterioration of relations between the Executive and the Legislative, the illegal arrest of the member Arnel Bélizaire and the cost of living that constantly increases.

Me Mario Joseph, the President of the Bureau des Avocats Internationaux (BAI), also believes that the balance is negative, describing the President Martelly of "destroyer of fundamental freedoms including freedom of speech..."

Mirlande H. Manigat, Secretary General of the Rally of Progressive Democrats Haitians (RDNP) said noted that the team in power does not apply any development plan because, according to her the fundamental problems of the country are only getting worse.
