Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe Convened by the Senate
At the initiative of Senator Steven Benoit, supported by many of his colleagues : François Annick Joseph, Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé, Jean-William Jeanty, John Joël Joseph, Moise Jean-Charles et Wesner Polycarpe, the Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe was convened by the Upper House on May 28.

After 3 convocations not respected by the Head of Government, for various reasons, the senators exasperated, intend this this time get answers to their questions, among others on : the amount and use of emergency funds, waste of public funds, funds of FNE or even the amount and source of funds used to celebrate the second anniversary to the power, of President Martelly...

In case of absence of Prime Minister to this convening, the Senators threaten to have recourse to the interpellation of Head of Government...

In addition, the Senator John Joël Joseph aid that parliamentarians hold clues that suggest that Bernice Fidélia, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad and Magalie Racine, the Minister of Sports, are foreign nationals. It states that a Commission is already working on these cases, and that the Commission in its recommendations, intend to ask the Senate, the dismissal of these two women Ministers.
