Haiti - Education : 3D modeling lab in Haiti

In partnership with the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) and the FOKAL, the École Supérieure Infotronique d’Haïti (ESIH) has rehabilitated and arranged the space of its 3D modeling lab [destroyed by the earthquake of 12 January 2010] and acquired the equipment necessary for the development of 3D applications.
By relaunching its program of training Python and Wizard or 25 programmers and graphic designers of the ESIH and other universities and technical schools of Haiti, ESIH allows students and teachers to have a space for training and experimentation of 3D applications, one of the first in the Caribbean.
A first numerical model of Memorial of Park of Martissant is in progress. This is the first step of development of a digital platform for the modeling of Haitian heritage.
The rehabilitation of this virtual reality laboratory, participating in carrying out the mission of ESIH : "Contributing to the development of Haiti, according to the national vision of a competitive Haiti not only in the Caribbean but also internationally, a Haiti competitive both in the traditional areas but also within the framework of the production of a genuine scientific and technological know-how."
