Haiti - Football : The Griffons lost 2-1 against the Grenadiers

As part of the preparation for the Gold Cup [7 July to 28 July 2013], after two fine performances : Haiti-Spain (1-2) and Haiti - Italy (2-2), the national team of Haiti (U21), and their victory on June 26 against the Montreal Impact (2-0) at Saputo Stadium, the Grenadiers won Wednesday evening (2-1) in a friendly match at the Centre of Physical Education and Sport of the University of Montreal (CEPSUM), one of the largest sports complex in Quebec, against the Griffons of CS Mont-Royal of Outremont, which is part of the Quebec Soccer League (AAA rating, the highest amateur level in the beautiful province).

In the first half Jean Eudes Maurice scored a goal for the Grenadiers, but was held in check by a goal of Griffons by Yves Hadley Desmarets (1-1).

After the break, our national team, thanks to a second goal of Jean Eudes Maurice (2-1) affirmed without much effort, its domination over the Griffons. Note that the CS Mont-Royal of Outremont, has several Haitians, both in its organization in the Premier League team, Abraham François, Durnick Jean and Peter Eustache...

For its third friendly match, the Grenadiers will face at CEGEP Garneau, the Royal Sélect of Beauport in Quebec, on June 30.

Wednesday, July 3, the Haitian National Team will conclude its Quebec tour against the FC St-Leonard of the Premier League of Soccer of Quebec (PLSQ).

On July 7, our Grenadiers (Group B) will travel to New York to participate in the Gold Cup where they will face :

Monday, Jul. 8, at "Red Bull Arena" (New Jersey) against Honduras;

Friday, July 12, at "Sun Life Stadium" (Miami Gardens / Florida) against Trinidad and Tobago

Sunday, July 14, at "BBVA Compass Stadium" (Houston / Texas) against El Salvador.
