Haiti - Politic : Fanmi Lavalas is preparing in the perspective of the next elections
Wednesday in press conference, members of the steering committee of the Fanmi Lavalas party have launched the second edition of their summer university, which runs from July 11 to 15 under the theme "For a society without exclusion."

Claude Roumain, coordinator of this university declared "this summer university is part of a comprehensive work that aims to strengthen the organization Fanmi Lavalas and set new directions. Today, Fanmi Lavalas is not in power, but as a political force, we prepare to assume responsibilities in the country."

The organizers of this event, propose to discuss during this summer university, among other of socio-political and economic issues of the country, of the democracy, the management of organizational structures and the rule of law. Placed under the sign of the opening, some executives of Fanmi Lavalas, academics and personalities of other political structures will intervene during these four days, on these subjects. Keynote speakers include among others: former Prime Minister Jacques Edouard Alexis, the former presidential candidate Mirlande Manigat of the Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RNDP), Fritz Jean (former Governor of the Central Bank) and Professor Roger Petit-Frère.

According to Maryse Narcisse Director of Fanmi Lavalas, during this summer university, the are also planned recreational activities, bands, a show (Brothers Posse and RAM) as well as various charitable activities and of solidarity to help needy people.
