Haiti - Politic : Toward the validation of the Caracas Action Plan 23/07/2013 11:22:58 Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of Health and Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and the Fight against extreme poverty, represent Haiti at this meeting. The meeting began on Monday by a day of sharing of experiences and views on social policies between ministers and officials of the social development of the region. This event takes place in schools, health centers and of food distribution in Caracas, to allow the socialization and exchange of knowledge, based on sharing. The primary objective was to identify common concerns and enrich the debate on the action plan with a close interaction between policy makers. Recall that the Caracas Action Plan, established a mandate aimed at develop strategies of regional public social policies, with reference to agreements underlying the Meeting of Ministers of Social Development and Eradication of Hunger and Poverty in Latin American countries and the Caribbean (March 2011). At technical level, ministerial Advisors, Directors and Managers of social policy of priority themes, for the social sector defined by the Caracas Action Plan (health, education, social development, food security) will provide the finishing touches to this plan of action. At ministerial level, the highest authorities responsible for the coordination of social policies of all governments and the ministers of Zones subject to the approval of the Action Plan, will have to validate the action plan during the second day of the meeting [Tuesday].
