The Haitian production model Lèt Agogo was chosen as an example to study as part of a seminar on Family Agriculture, organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which was held on 2 and 3 September 2013, in Santiago, Chile.

Recall that Michel Chancy, Secretary of State for Animal Production, a founder and former Director of VETERIMED owner of Label "Lèt Agogo", which in 2005 received the first prize of Contest "Best Project for Social Innovation" [1st prices on 1,600 projects from 35 countries], was again invited to present the program "Lèt Agogo", a network, consisting of twenty small milk processing units in Haiti, which supplies the market and allows to distribute milk to nearly 30,000 children within the framework of School canteen Program.

The purpose of this seminar was to analyze the successful examples, which provide solutions to production, marketing and nutrition of small producers in Latin America. Other projects have been presented such as projects to purchase agricultural products in Brazil, Peru and Ecuador, a project to supply seeds, a project of urban agriculture in Cuba...
