Haiti - Tourism : Construction of an amphitheater on the beach Congo
The part of the beach Congo (Albano), commonly called "lakou new york" where are installed food kiosks will be closed Monday, September 9 to begin construction of an amphitheater.

The Departmental Tourism South East met with the Committee of the Beach Congo to provide an update on this subject. Fifteen food kiosks will be built and distributed along the beach. In addition, local authorities have met several times with merchants who occupy the space for the presentation of the development project of the beach.

Aware of the importance of the vision of the state to improve the site, the Committee of the beach and the merchants agreed and are ready to leave the space next week. However, they have found it useful to present their analysis, by proposing some parameters and some additional tracks to the project such as :

- The importance of keeping the coconut trees and other plants in the area, to have a green area within the confines itself of the amphitheater.

- The importance of having kiosks that meet the needs of users.

The National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) already planning the installation of water supply and sewage disposal in kiosks that will be built.

With the support of local authorities, the Committee of the beach Congo decided to organize Sunday, September 8 at 7:00 pm, a ceremony to mark the end of the use of space by merchants.
