Haiti - Politics : Towards the harmonization of TFP interventions
Friday, at the initiative of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) and the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) was held at the Hotel Montana, a "Workshop for the development of a concerted action plan of Technical and Financial Partners (TFP)."

During the past decade, various national and international institutions have involved in support for the strengthening of state institutions and of Bodies of Local Authorities. Unfortunately, the lack of coordination between them often leads to duplication impeding the sustainability of the most commendable actions.

The workshop was organized around five key objectives, including the identification of activities and responsibilities of donors and government institutions in the implementation of components Deconcentration and Decentralization of Framework Programme of the State Reform (PCRE) ; the collection and sharing of information on the activities of TFP and the delimitation of the scope of intervention of the partners compared to operators as OMRH and MICT.



Uder Antoine, the General Coordinator of the OMRH believes that dialogue and national leadership are likely to rectify the situation "this workshop draws all its relevance of the necessity to harmonize, simplify and coordinate the actions of the main institutions involved in local government [...] For OMRH the articulation of policies and actions to strengthen the state called to respond to the many needs of the population are of paramount importance."

For his part, the representative of the Director General of the MICT, said noted the difficulties of communities to effectively fulfill their mission. To remedy this situation, he promotes inclusive activities consisting to the coordination of actions of different partners. He has, moreover, refered to PCRE whose two of the six priorities relate to aspects of deconcentration and decentralization. Note that in the context of this workshop, participants sought to develop cooperative mechanisms of action to improve the management of human, material, technical and financial resources.
