Wednesdays in press conference, members of the Executive Board of the Inter-religious Association "Religions for Peace" expressed concern "at the extreme gravity of the situation, which could plunge the country into chaos," according to Bishop Pierre André Dumas Coordinator of the organization that invited political leaders to come together around a table and dialogue for Peace"This is not the time to assign blame [...] Everyone did, in its own way, something wrong. And we strongly condemn any action taken outside the law to solve a problem."

Given the current situation, Ogé Beauvoir, the Episcopal Anglican Catholic bishop declared, "We ask the extremiststo not continue to throw oil on the fire [...] We also call the Haitian people to not be manipulated [...] The solution to our problems must be sought by the Haitians and not by international [...] It is not right to continue to live in a country where cohabitation between different social strata is not possible."
