Haiti - Reconstruction : Infrastructure Works in Northwest, a priority
Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance and Yves Germain, Director General of the National Center of Equipment (CNE), have met to analyze all the various infrastructure ongoing projects, assess the financial capacity of the CNE to meet and make a financial planning of rehabilitation, of some large urgent projects, including that of Northwest.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works Transport and Communication (MTPTC) and in support of the CNE, Minister Laleau stressed the need to develop agricultural areas for the development of sector and allow to open up areas of high production potential.

The CNE already very active on the ground, understanding the importance of the agricultural recovery in the country, has confirmed that it will continue to put its equipment at the service of the population, for the development of infrastructure across the country. Recall that the CNE has 761 machinery and equipment, an assets estimated to $461 millions.

Assessments revolved around road infrastructure work underway, including : the rehabilitation St-Louis du Nord-Borgne (20 km) ; Chansolme / Bassin Bleu (18 km) ; of the breakthrou St-Louis du Nord / Gaspard (14km) ; the breakthrough Anse-à-Foleur / Duty (8km)and that of St-Louis du Nord / Descouvri (5km).

Note that other projects are also being considered for immediate implementation including roads : Port-de-Paix / Lacroix-Haut piton ; Poste Métier (Zone de Jean Rabel) ; Anse-a-Foleur / Borgnes ; Beauchamps ; Bassin Bleu / Gros Morne ; Anse Rouge / Marre Rouge ; Ste Suzanne and Anse-a-Foleur / Côtes-de-Fer.
