Haiti - Politic : The Department of State satisfied by the progress of the reform of the Haitian State
The General Coordination of the Office of Human Resources Management (OMRH) met Joe Danies, the Deputy Coordinator of the U.S. State Department for Haiti, accompanied by other colleagues from the U.S. Embassy in Haiti and the State Department.

Uder Antoine, the General Coordinator of the OMRH, accompanied by Antoine Verdier, Deputy Coordinator, briefly presented the achievements to date of the Government in the context of the implementation of the reform of the state and perspectives for the fiscal year 2013-2014.

The support provided by the "Konekte" program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID, to the Government of Haiti has been discussed and suggestions were made by the Coordination for this program can continue to effectively support the Haitian Government particularly in the area of institutional strengthening.

Recall that the "Konekte" program provides the Ministries and Agencies, on a competitive basis, consultants recruited mainly at the local level in order to help them strengthen their management systems and improve their performance.

Danies Joe said he was very satisfied with the progress of the reform of the state and took the opportunity to congratulate Mr. Uder Antoine and his team for the concrete results in the last fifteen months.

The Uder Antoine Coordinator emphasized on the unconditional support at the highest state level he enjoyed and which enabled him to achieve some concrete actions in line with the Government's vision, which is committed to provide the country "with a modern public administration, effective in situation to : restoring public confidence; preserve the rule of law by a public service of quality, honest at the service of general interest and work for the public servants be closer of the population by a real decentralization of government services."
