Haiti - Social : Laurent Lamothe visited Saint-Marc

Wednesday, Laurent Lamothe, Prime Minister of Haiti conducted in Saint-Marc, an important visit, both, of evaluation of the work done by his government and to support local production. The head of government, after discussions with several authorities of this town, including the deputy Altès Toussaint, visited the Place Philipe Guerrier whose renovation was funded to the tune of 17 million gourdes. The displacement of the Prime Minister led him to inspect other urban renewal projects and of anitation in the region.

Moreover, in order to solve the problem of electricity in Saint-Marc, the government has recently awarded three generators that supply the city.

The government is working in parallel with the construction of a new public market, to the strengthening of police staff, o protect lives and property,to the improvement of Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO), and to the availability of social assistance program (Ede Pèp) on the ground.

"Animated by the desire to reduce extreme poverty and supporting vulnerable families, the government will invest more than 41 million gourdes in the program 'Ti manman cherie' to the benefit of thousands of mothers of Saint-MArc », declared the Prime Minister Lamothe.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to visit a processing plant and processing of agricultural products and interact with entrepreneurs and investors of Saint-Marc. He reassured them of the support and accompaniment of the government to local production that it considers as a growth sector that can create thousands of jobs.

At the request of Mr. Jean Rony Eugène interim executive agent, the Prime Minister promised the holding of "Gouvènman an lakay ou" in Saint-Marc [already conduct in : Carrefour, Delmas nd Milot], to bring citizens to express their demands to the government.

This short visit of Prime Minister to Saint-Marc allowed him to exchange with residents and interact with the various entities of the city in anticipation of a better alignment of government actions for the benefit of the greatest number.
