Haiti - Elections : Martelly authorize the publication of the electoral law

The Office of Communication of the Presidency informs the general public that the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, officially transmitted to the National Press the electoral law recently passed in Parliament https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10018-haiti-elections-the-electoral-law-finally-transmitted-to-executive.html for publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic, Le Moniteur.

By this act, the Head of State, allows to move forward the electoral process, for the soon holding in the country of fair elections, credible, transparent, inclusive and democratic to allow the Haitian people to choose their representatives freely.

In addition, the President Martelly reiterated his appeal for dialogue with all those involved in this important process to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.

He promises, in addition, all the accompanying of its Administration to the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) in the implementation of mechanisms leading to the organization of the upcoming elections.
