Haiti - Politic : The program «Gouvenman an lakay ou» in Petit Goâve
Saturday for its 4th exit, the program "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" (after Carrefour, Delmas and Milot) was in Petit-Goâve, the city of Dany Laferrière for this important dialogue between citizens and government. This 4th exit was part of a double perspective : put the town of Petit Goâve in value on the occasion of its 350th anniversary and address at the same time, the concerns of the population.

Before the start of this dialogue was held a Opening Ceremony of extension work [upper part of the Palace of Justice) in the presence of Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice, Me Alie Jean Roudy, Director General of the Ministry, Dean Me Emmanuel Tataille, the Government Commissioner Me Alix Civil, the Deputy of Petit Goâve, Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon and many lawyers and members of civil society.

"The inauguration of the upper part of the Palace of Justice, represents a relief for lawyers, judges, clerks and litigants. In fact, this building will allow judges to have a more comfortable space to work," declared the former president of the Bar, Me Rosales Tristant who acted as master of ceremonies. Me Emmanuel Tataille, after thanking the Prime Minister for the interest he bears to its jurisdiction declared "The redevelopment of our judicial complex is part of a social dynamic that the Minister of Justice intends put at the forefront of any emergencies."

After this ceremony, the Head of Government and members of the delegation visited the Lycée Faustin Soulouque where thousands of people (students, farmers, teachers, academics, members of socio-professionnnelles organizations, local authorities and others) waiting the Prime Minister and members of the Government.



Local authorities and citizens have expressed to Ministers of the municipality claims in various sectors, including education, roads, agriculture, local production, electricity, health.

Each minister presented the results of actions taken at the town, current projects and others that will be realized.

The Minister of Education recalled that more than 32,000 schoolchildren in the city Faustin Soulouque already benefited from school feeding program of the Government and thousands more will be added, by the month of January 2014. Regarding the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO), 55,000 students are supported through 390 schools. Also, in order to ensure the regular attendance of teachers in public schools, the Minister announced that dozens of appointments were made at the request of Prime Minister among other for the lycée Faustin Soulouque, the lycée Roseline Vaval of Vialet, in national schools in the region and that the letters were already available.

The Minister of Health has expressed its concern about the corruption in the Notre-Dame Hospital and the lack of services. It is committed to take appropriate measures to resolve these problems and announced a new ambulance in Petit-Goave. Speakers criticized the leaders of the hospital and demanded their removal...

The Minister of Agriculture was pleased to have contributed to the recovery of the agricultural sector by providing seeds and tools to farmers and promised the resumption of the irrigation of the second plain of Petit-Goâve.

The Minister of Public Works has announced the completion of road infrastructure in progress, the rehabilitation of new roads. The issue of distribution of electricity was also discussed. In this sense, three generators were delivered to the police authorities of the city. In the same vein, the Minister announced an increase of 3.5 megawatts of additional electricity.

The Minister of Social Affairs spoke about the functioning of two community restaurants of downtown and announced the opening of three others. He also mentioned the arrival in Petit Goâve of social programs including "Ede pep, "Ede andikape" and "Ti manman cheri".

Minister of Tourism has praised tourist attractions of Petit-Goâve.

The Minister of Justice mentioned the restoration of order and security in the municipality.

The Deputy Thimoléon while wishing good Christmas, good 350 years of Petit Goâve and a happy 2014 to all, thanked the government team for their support and took the opportunity to submit to the government the main claim of Petit-Goâviens : the creation of the new Department of Palmes which include Gressier, Léogâne Grand-Goâve, Petit--Goâve, Gonaîves and new municipalities. The deputy was heavily cheered by the audience.

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe listened the concerns of the population and said that everything that had been said in "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" was "sacred" a way of saying that all commitments will be respected.

In addition, he received from peasants, of agricultural goods and sweet Marcos from local producers an opportunity to announce that he would support and help improve the production of sweet Marcos so that this sector can be more profitable to the country. The Head of Government also invited members of the diaspora to come and invest in Petit-Goâve, a hospitable city.

Honour and merit plaques were presented to the Prime Minister, the President Martelly and Deputy Thimoléon. Popular artists Bekenet and Jacques Sauveur Jean, have closed the 4th exit of "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" by giving good services to the delight of Petit-Goâviens. Note that Jacques Sauveur Jean asked the Prime Minister and the Deputy Thimoléon to sing with him the chorus of "lanmou blanket" what wo officials agreed and executed brilliantly.
