On Wednesday, Prime Minister, granted, at the 25th Council of Government an aid of 500,000 Gourdes to merchants and producers of "Dous Makos" of Petit-Goâve, following his promise made December 21, 2013, at the 4th output of program "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" in this commune https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10184-haiti-economy-towards-an-increased-production-of-dous-makos-in-petit-goave.html

The assistance granted by the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), allow these producers to increase production capacity of their businesses across the country, promote them for a revitalization of the market domestically and internationally and create additional jobs.

The Prime Minister took advantage of the presence of beneficiaries of this aid, to encourage mass production of "Dous Makos" in compliance with international standards of candy. For their part, producers of Petit-Goâve, Serge Beauzile of "Lot Nivo Dous Makòs", "Sans Frontière", Antoine Labarre of "Entreprise Labarre Fils" and Lourdyne Décilon of "Boss Lavo Production Dous Makòs" who provide around the country, this candy highly appreciated, did not hide their satisfaction of this capital support from the Haitian Government.

The check delivery ceremony took place in presence of the Mayor of Petit-Goâve, Sandra Jules who received the compliments of the Head of Government for his involvement in all spheres of development of the community.

Mrs. Florence D. Guillaume, the Minister of Health, who had promised an ambulance to the town of Petit Goâve, handed the key to the mayor. For its part, on a proposal from Mrs Mimose Félix the Minister responsible for the promotion of the peasantry, Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, has proposed the creation of sale spaces in the airports of Port-au-Prince and of Cap, in favor of these producers. She also promised to schedule tourist stops in key areas in the South, for example in Petit-Goâve, where tourists can get the "Dous Makòs".
