Haiti - Politic : 44th World Economic Forum, the Prime Minister at work

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, begins this Thursday, his first working day to Davos, as part of its participation in the 44th World Economic Forum. The purpose of this travel is to attract new investment in Haiti and promote the business potential of the country at a time when the Government continues to multiply initiatives to improve the business environment.

The Head of Government, during his stay in Davos, will meet with business owners and world leaders including, philanthropist, George Sorros, former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. He will meet among others, with the CEOs of Dell computer, Salesforce, Nestle, Coca-Cola to discuss entrepreneurship and job creation in Haiti.

Moreover, in order to boost the national social assistance plan (Ede-Pèp), Prime Minister Lamothe that makes the preferential option for the poor, its main priority, will meet the Japanese development agency (Japan International cooperation Agency (JICA)) to explore avenues of cooperation to continue to improve the living conditions of the most needy.
