Haiti - Politic : 24 hours to solve contentious between the executive and Parliament !

Mgr. Patrick Aris, Spokesperson of the Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH), confirmed Thursday the beginning of Phase II of dialogue said "institutional" between Parliament and the Executive. Both Powers will discuss to solve their contentious and move towards the signing of a political agreement tomorrow, Friday, "if the executive and parliament work well" said Bishop Aris, while recalling that the leaders of political parties are not affected by this Phase II but they may still attend as observers.

Moreover, he wished to recall that contrary to what Senator Desras support the dialogue protocol, signed by the political parties, the executive and the parliament, states that the Parliament is part of the dialogue. So it is well one of three stakeholders in the process, adding pragmatic "The most important agreement is not his signature but its implementation"...

As for Senator Dieuseul Simon Desras, he maintains his position, explaining that in Phase I (inter-Haitian dialogue), although mentioned as an actor in the mediation protocol, Parliament should have been mentioned as a witness. Saying "At the time when we speak, there is no agreement." For him, the Parliament is truly actor (stakeholder), that from this Phase II, adding "It is preferable that the document be signed after having eliminated the contentious with the Executive and reached an agreement in the institutional dialogue," dialogue to which would probably participate the President Michel Martelly.

Note that Senator Desras had convened this week the Presidents of the Senate of Standing Committees to the extraordinary to define the agenda for this Thursday and also invited several organizations including Fusion, OPL, KID, Fanmi Lavalas, Kontrapepla and the MOPOD, for they can give their point of view.

24 hours to solve the contentious between the executive and the legislature, which persist for years, falls more in the Faith of CEH, that reasons... It remains only to wait...
