After this day of dialogue, which was held behind closed doors, the President Martelly and Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras, President of the Senate said they were determined to continue the dialogue, refusing to comment on the issues discussed at this working session.

The Head of State told reporters, "that there are opportunities for progress in the negotiations" and reiterated its invitation to all stakeholders "to Dedication, to give the country a chance that must renew political staff and consolidate democracy."

For its part, the President of the Grand corps indicated that he had strongly argued the reserves of senators about the inter-Haitian agreement and will be satisfied only when an agreement is reached.

For Cardinal Langlois, this first day of work between the Senate and the Executive "has paid off" since it will allow to move to a new stage of dialogue.
