Haiti - Politic : Jérémie on the path of development

Saturday, March 22, in the square of Park St-Louis of Jérémie (department of Grand Anse), a massive and enthusiastic crowd welcomed the 6th output of "Gouvènman an lakay ou", a space for permanent dialogue between government and citizens, chaired by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, accompanied by Ministers of Government, local elected officials and representatives of community organizations.

In terms of infrastructure, the Ministry of Public Works, announced the start shortly, of many construction projects and / or rehabilitation of roads and other structures to enable connecting different municipalities of the department. He indicated that the construction by the firm Estrella, of the last segment of the road Cayes-Jérémie (16 km), funded by the Haitian Government to the tune of $ 4 million was continuing and should be completed in January 2015.

He also announced the start by the end of the year, of construction works of the airport of Jérémie funded at $ 3 million, adding that tenders had already been launched.
