Haiti - Economy : The Government multiplies its special development plans
In order to address the concerns of the population, the Government intends to intensify of development projects throughout the national territory. To this end, several special plans have been developed to fight against extreme poverty in different regions of the country.

Each plan is managed by a coordinator who is responsible for ensuring the proper management of the funds committed by the State. Also, they will have to deliver real results in key areas to fight effectively against poverty and accelerate the process of decentralization in the country.

6 plans are already implemented in the commune of country such as : Port-de-Paix, Gonaïves, Jérémie, Ile de La Tortue, Ile-à-Vache and Ile de La Gonâve.

Port-de-Paix :
The Plan of Port-de-Paix, coordinated by Lucien Francoeur, the Secretary General of the Primature, will address the problems related to education, infrastructure, agriculture, fishing, etc... La Gonâve :
Many provisions have been adopted to create jobs on the island. Literacy and fishing are among others, the priorities to be addressed. Thousands of fishing kits will be distributed to people in targeted areas to stimulate economic activity. The plan implemented for the Gonâve island led by Marie Mimose Felix, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of promoting the peasantry, also aims to ensure basic services to citizens and enhance the agricultural and tourism potential which will help revive the economy on the island. 1,000 mothers of families will benefit from the program "Ti manman cheri". Other initiatives will come support the social programs already underway. The "Kore Lavi" program will support the efforts of 6,000 families to access to better living conditions. The city of Gonaïves is already well advanced in the implementation of its special plan. Jérémie :
The city of Jérémie, who will soon host the platform for dialogue with communities "Gouvènman an lakay ou", is part of these special plans. The road network is being repaired. More than 200 solar street lights are already installed as part of the program "Banm limyè, banm lavi". Meanwhile, all electrical networks are being repaired. The construction of four bridges connecting Jérémie to Les Cayes and the rehabilitation of 27 precarious neighborhoods take part of the Government's vision to make the Grand Anse a development pole. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10131-haiti-politic-special-plans-for-the-departments-of-northwest-and-grande-anse.html

Île de La Tortue :
This plan ed by Klaus Eberwein, Director General of Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) includes 27 actions to contribute to immediate change in the economic situation of the town and living conditions of the most vulnerable people. 7 community restaurants with a total capacity of 7,000 meals per day will be built. 40,000 "panye solidarite", 10,000 vouchers of emergency will be distributed to the most needy and 1,000 new jobs will be created from a wide sanitation program. To support and promote plant and animal production, the Government will build two hill lakes, distribute 2,000 agricultural seed kits, 1,000 fishing kits and 1,000 goats to the population. The number of children enrolled regularly in the program of Universal Schooling Free and Compulsory (PSUGO) will be doubled. 5 scholarships of excellence will be awarded to graduates and 10,000 adults will be literate. 500 mothers additional will integrate the program "Ti manman cherie" and 200 business women will benefit from a credit program to stimulate economic activity. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10484-haiti-politic-the-government-will-respond-to-the-urgent-needs-of-the-turtle-island.html
