Haiti - Elections : New President at the head of CEP

Monday, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) of 7 members https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11115-haiti-elections-twist-7-of-9-cep-representatives-were-sworn.html announced the formation of a new Bureau of Electoral Council, which is committed to to hold elections this year, honest, inclusive and transparent.

Bureau Members of CEP :
President : Me Frizto Canton (Representative of Executive Power) [which replaces the former President challenged Emmanuel Ménard] ;
Vice-president : Marie Clunie Dumay Miracles (Representative of the Legislative Power) ;
Secretary General : Me Marie Carole Floréal Duclervil (Representative of the Superior Council of Judicial Power) ;
Treasurer : Pierre Simon Georges (Representative of the Legislative Power).

In addition, Senator Francisco De La Cruz announced this week a possible change of one of member of Parliament in CEP, if negotiations between the two chambers still well forward. For his part, the Deputy Charles Faustin of majority bloc pro-governmental "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP), said he was not aware of this change or ongoing negotiations...
