Haiti - Education : Graduation of 10 Haitian student air traffic controllers, in Dominican Republic

Within the framework of the cooperation agreements between the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC) and the National Office of Civil Aviation of Haiti (OFNAC) https://www.haitilibre.com/article-1018-haiti-republique-dominicaine-entente-aerienne.html (in french) 10 Haitian students graduated in air traffic control and in procedure for aerial approach control at the Dominican Academy of Sciences Aerospace ["Academia Superior de Ciencas Aeronaúticas" (ASCA)]

Juan César Thomas Burgos, Director of the ASCA, recalled on this occasion that the training program for Haitian students, is part of the policy of the institution, to put its facilities, technology and expertise of its faculty available to other countries in the area.

The Director of ASCA thanked the Haitian authorities for their confidence, to have send 10 of their air traffic controllers to continue their preparation in the Dominican Republic adding "what confirms the high level of credibility, that ASCA has for other countries in the Caribbean and Latin America region."

For his part, the Director General of the OFNAC, Léopold Martin Roumer thanked ASCA for the availability of its facilities and of its administrative and teaching staff, as the Director General of the IDAC, for the whole teaching process that was conducted for the benefit of Haitian students.

Following the graduation ceremony, the Haitian students presented plaques of appreciation to the Director and members of ASCA.
