Haiti - Culture : A great project for the arts in Haiti
Enigma Performing Arts and Convention Center of Haiti (EPAC Haiti) and Monster®, the world leader in high-performance personal audio have teamed up for the fundraising initiative "Headphones for Haiti" to raise money to construct EPAC Haiti, a 3,000 seat concert hall and a state of the art convention center designed by Metropolitan Museum architect and Pritzker Award winner, Kevin Roche.

EPAC will include a 3,000 seat concert hall, a school for performing arts, art studios, dance studios, museum, gallery, a 500 seat theatrical theater, artisans market, and much more...

Monster® donated 100 Inspiration™ headphones to be hand- painted by 10 Haitian Master Painters as blank canvases to create unique pieces of art including Frantz Zephirin, St Jean Saint Juste, Richard Barbot, Mario Benjamin, Patricia Brintle, Joseph Eddy Pierre, Yael Talleyrand, Pascal Merisier aka "Pasko", Levoy exil, Harold Dessalines, Pascale Monnin, Philippe Dodard and Patrick Ganthier aka "Killy".

On Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Openhouse Gallery (201 Mulberry St. between Kenmare and Spring) 6p.m.-9p.m., ten hand-painted headphones with accompanying canvases will be auctionedoff (opening bid will be approx. $10K).

Remaining 90 headphones will be auctioned beginning June 23 – July 2, 2014 on Ebay : Ebay.com/headphonesforhaiti.(starting bid $500)

EPAC Haiti founded by Haitian-American Youdy Sanon (the entrepreuner) and Kishner Deprinvill (photographer and filmmaker), expects to be the voice and a platform for the youth community and artist of Haiti, EPAC Haiti will be a cultural center and entertainment destination for the population and the tourism sector. With this initiative, APEC will promote economic development by creating jobs and providing the highest caliber of arts education in the Caribbean. EPAC Haiti, at the core, will initially launch as a social preforming arts development program in Haiti and will adopt town-by-town and develop art programs that empower education and harness the talents of Haitian youths.

Youdy Sanon is a Haitian born critical thinker who approaches every business experience with a detailed eye. Mr. Sanon's love and appreciation for Haitian arts culture lead him to conceptualize Enigma Performing Arts Center. Mr. Sanon currently serves as CEO of Enigma Preforming Arts Center. In this capacity he is responsible for all business, investment and management development for EPAC Haiti. His goal is transcend Haiti through its rich art culture.

Kishner Deprinvil is a Haitian born filmmaker and photographer. Deprinvil currently serves as Chief Creative Officer for EPAC. In this roles, Deprinvil is responsible for all artistic and creative relations as well as development at EPAC. Born and raised in Port-au Prince Haiti; he immigrated to the United States in 2000. His creative foresight and knowledge has led him to partner in this noble endeavor, and raise Haitian's art esteem through EPAC HAITI.
