On Monday, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, on tour on Île-à-Vache visited the major projects of the Master Plan for tourism development and special plans of the island.

Warmly welcomed by the inhabitants, the Head of Government noted the progress of construction work of the 8km scenic road and other secondary access, and the construction of lycée in Madame Bernard.

Among the other ambitious projects planned in the Director Plan of tourism development of the island, included inter alia : the construction of an airport by the government, the construction by hotel companies of several hotels-resorts, golf course, the creation of an archaeological museum on piracy, an animated seaside village, restaurants, nightclubs, art and crafts shops.

Tourism is one of the priorities of the administration Martelly and of Government Lamothe who are committed to making the island, "one of the most beautiful destinations in the region, the pride and glory of our country."

The tour of the Prime Minister was marked by the social dialogue with the population who informed him of its needs and concerns. Furthermore Ile-a-Vache, several cities are involved in the tourism development plan of the government.
