Haiti - Social : First meeting of CISH
Tuesday at the Primature, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, chaired the first working meeting of the Interministerial Committee for Monitoring on Disability (CISH), created by decree on January 8 and whose he's, as Minister of Planning, the President.

Gathering, among others, the Ministries of Education, Sports and Social Affairs, the CISH meets the need of the Government to create the conditions necessary to facilitate access for people with special needs to physical infrastructure and services public.

This Committee is responsible for coordination and harmonization of public policies in the field of disability and to promote human rights conventions for people with special needs, social inclusion and integration of people and strengthen fight against injustice and all forms of stigma.

As part of the implementation of the administrative city, Laurent Lamothe called for the construction of public buildings accessible to people with disabilities. Furthermore, he assured the Director of the St. Vincent Center, specializing in the education of people with special needs, that this institution will receive special treatment in the development of new downtown of the capital.

Prime Minister Lamothe reiterated the commitment of the administration Martelly and of his government to continue to guide and strengthen specialized schools.

Furthermore, the Head of Government announced that the next Governing Council will take place around the inclusion and integration of people with special needs and that it was also decided to incorporate the sign language at the Councils of Government and "Gouvènman an lakay ou" Program.
