The construction plan of downtown Port-au-Prince will be implemented in parallel with the adoption of accompanying measures. Indeed, social housing for displaced families and expropriated and a shopping district for the sellers of auto spare parts of rue Champ de Mars, will be built in the area of ​​the airport.

The Government recalled that since the decree of 2012 compensation fund was available and encouraged the owners and tenants of the latecomers to the declared public utility to file at a notary, in the shortest possible time, titles and documents for reimbursement and avoid any attempt to unhealthy politicization of this process that meets the constitutional and legal provisions.

Besides, the ministries with political and social character, administrative and judicial institutions, this vast project also includes the construction and rehabilitation of cultural infrastructure, including public places in the outskirts of the city administration. For this purpose, the construction of 7-meters four-lane roads with sidewalks will be carried out. Draft will scrupulously respect urban standards of urbanization within its execution. In this sense, the building permit will be issued to any contractor showing interest to settle in the city center or just wanting to resume his business.

As part of the plan, several government buildings, including the Ministry of Commerce, the Interior, the Legislative Palace, the Palace of the Supreme Court, the kiosk Occide Jeanty are already under construction. The movie theater Triomphe, whose rehabilitation progressing apace, will be inaugurated by July.
