Haiti - Politic : Senator Wencesclass Lambert issued an ultimatum to the G6
After the latest public statements of Senator of Southeast, Edwin Zenny, (aka Edo) to resign, along with other senators from G5 (pro-government) supported in his project by the Senators Lucien Dérex Pierre-Louis and Jean Willy Jean-Baptiste, to counter the blocking senators of G6 Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé (Northeasrt), Jean-Charles Moïse (North), Francky Exius (South), Westner Polycarpe (North), John Joël Joseph (West) and Jean William Jeanty (Nippes)], that would result in the lapse of the upper chamber, to facilitate the elections, two other senators of G5, had not yet declared their position https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11892-haiti-politic-the-executive-open-to-dialogue-with-the-opposition-but.html

The position of Senator Wencesclass Lambert is now known, he believes that after all the concessions made by the Executive, it is the turn of the Senate to make concessions to resolve the crisis. He publicly confirmed that he would join the Senator Zenny and launched a 15-day ultimatum to members of the G6, to vote on the amendments to the electoral law, otherwise he says he will resign "The Southeast is one and indivisible [...] I am bound by the decision of my colleague [...] Senators have a deadline of two weeks to decide. Otherwise, in 15 days the country will experience a political event like no other..." recalling that the Senate composed of 20 senators can not be held in hostage by 6 senators, remaining convinced that its constituents of Southeast trust him in his decisions.

Senator Francois Lucas Sainvil (member of G5) whose term expires in 2017, dissociated himself from his colleague on this project of resignation in block "I do not think the resignation of a senator is the best strategy to deal with a political crisis," he says he told clearly to Senator Zenny, that the mass resignation was not his priority "I can accompany him in other actions, but not in such an enterprise," emphasizing the application of Article 12 of the Agreement El Rancho istead the resignation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10763-haiti-politic-the-core-group-welcomes-the-inter-haitian-agreement.html

Simon Dieuseul Desras, the President of the Senate is very risen against his colleagues who want to resign, asking them to recover, while urging opposition senators not to use the electoral law as a means of negotiation and to ratify the amendments to the electoral law, convinced that it si still possible to hold elections this year...

For his part, Senator Anick Francois Joseph (OPL) deplores the lack of analysis of those senators who did not fully appreciate the consequences of their eventual resignation. He still believes that this project does not come from Senator Zenny, but it is directed by the Executive, who would negotiate the resignation of senators against a money...

Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé (member of G6) abounds in the same direction, saying the Senator Zenny has never hidden its intention to facilitate the task of the President Martelly to rule by decree, whose he sees the hidden hand, noting that the G6 will not reconsider its position.
