On Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) through the Haitian Bureau of Standards (BHN) held at the conference room of the Ministry a launching workshop of the accompanying program of companies and laboratories to the systems of quality management.

The objective of this workshop is to help the enterprises to make the necessary steps to strengthen their capacities in meeting the demands of markets both locally and internationally and support the laboratories in the establishment of systems that conform to ISO 17025 to demonstrate their skills to carry out analyzes and tests recognized locally and internationally.

At least 8 enterprises and six laboratories took part in the day's workshop, whose main theme was "the terms of the accompaniment of enterprises and laboratories".

Following this workshop, the directorate of BNH expressed his satisfaction, as well as enterprises and laboratories present who see this initiative as a great opportunity for the country and want the MCI continues this so that the sectors concerned to meet the preset standards..

For his part, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Commerce and Industry who attended the closing of the workshop, was optimistic about the progress made by the Haitian Bureau of Standards while hoping a favorable vote of the bill introduced to the Haitian parliament since 2012.
