At the first phase of the competition CARICOM Youth Ambassadors https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12545-haiti-diplomacy-caricom-youth-ambassadors-the-first-stage-completed.html 110 young people were selected out of 250 applicants, aged 18 to 25 years, coming from different geographical departments of Haiti to pass the tests of the selection competition.

Following general knowledge tests and English, 5 girls and 5 boys were shortlisted for the final selection :

The next step will take place from Monday 1 to Thursday, December 4, 2014, in the Croix-des-Bouquets Polyvalent Training Centre. The ten candidates will attend training sessions on the relationship between Haiti and CARICOM, protocol notions of etiquette, English, economics and policy within the Community of Caribbean Nations.

Following this 4-day training, candidates will be evaluated by a jury, which will select two finalists who will become young ambassadors of Haiti to CARICOM for a period of two years (2014-2016).
