Recall that Friday, many traders, according to their testimonies, have suffered significant losses, following the sacking and looting of their goods by individuals who took advantage of the confrontations and panic reactions on the border area to steal honest small traders. Saturday, the authorities, represented by Senator Dionis Sanchez, who from the beginning have faced the situation to resolve the conflict, joined by Governor Angel Zabala Odalis Segura, the Consul Martin Merry and other local authorities as well as authorities of Haiti, formed two committees to resolve this conflict, which has degenerated into violence. This Monday, the soldiers of CESFRONT (Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre) and the "Destacamento de Investigación Operativa Fronterizo" maintained a strong presence in the area to prevent further incidents.
