Wednesday, General Carlos Aguirre Reyes of CESFRONT (Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre) reported that for the first 7 days of January, more than 4,000 undocumented Haitians were apprehended while illegally crossing the border and repatriated to Haiti by the Dominican immigration authorities.

To this number is added the 8,200 apprehended in two weeks, by the Dominican army and repatriated by the immigration authorities, according to statements of Colonel Narciso Onésimo Madé Guerrero, commander of the military base in Dajabón https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12877-haiti-security-more-than-8-200-haitians-repatriated-to-haiti-in-less-than-a-month.html
