For Sauveur Étienne "President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Evans Paul are faced with an Cornelian drama : to defend their partisan interests or those of the community [...] they must choose between work for the impossible survival of a dying system and the emergence of a new system called to out Haiti of the underdevelopment."

Recalling that the country only has a few months to prove to the world that despite our divisions, Haitians have the ability to work together, he said that "the nation-state will not crystallize only if we can change the relationship state/society, make of the political stability, the institutionalization of the political system, structuring of political parties and of economic development the cardinal virtues of the republican system, of the modern society to construct by Haitians from the inside and the Diaspora."

Recall that Sauveur Étienne had publicly stated in favor of the installation of Evans Paul without parliamentary ratification, a position shared by other leaders of the Party.
