Wednesday Ariel Henry, the new Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), representing the political party of the opposition INITE, named as part of the agreement of January 11, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12934-haiti-politic-it-s-over-the-curtain-fell-on-the-parliament.html accompanied by Bernadel Odin fils, Secretary of State for Local Authorities and Patrick Sully Wilfrid Joseph, Secretary of State for Interior, was installed in office, in the new government of consensus, by the outgoing Minister Réginald Delva.

The ceremony took place at the premises of the Directorate of Civil Protection in Juvénat in the presence of the Engineer Hertz Obas, Diurectir Genral and of Major Patrick Bastien of MICT and several Government officials, senior officials of the party INITE and former parliamentarians.

In his speech, Minister Henry declared, "I will ensure that we have satisfactory elections, free, democratic and inclusive," ensuring that due to the stakes "It is necessary to be prepared to deal with any eventuality, and we will work on that [...] I want to give politicians, the people of Haiti, the guarantee that I will make all the efforts and sacrifices possible to fulfill to the best my mission."

Regarding the sensitive issue of immigration and emigration he assure that his ministry will "[...] do everything possible for there to be a climate of peace and security [...]".
