Mobilization of MOPOD and FORPAK against discharge certificates

The "People's Patriotic Movement Dessalinien" (MOPOP) and the "Patriotic Force for the respect of the constitution" (Fòs Patriyotik pou Respè Konstitisyon FOPARK) warn against a supposed executive's plan to issue a discharge certificates to former senior government official, including Laurent Lamothe, to enable them to participate in future elections. To protest against this possibility the two political organizations of the radical opposition announced two sit-in outside the prosecutor of Port-au-Prince and the Superior Court of Auditors (CSC) on Wednesday 15 and Friday, April 17.

Registration of candidates advance slowly

The registration process opened since Monday, April 6 advance slowly. In terms of pre-registration, 147 candidates for deputies and 27 Senate candidates have completed the online process for the entire territory. Only one Senate candidate filed his record in the Office (BED) of South in 8 days...

Nearly 6 million voters

Jean-Baptiste St-Cyr, Director General of the National Identification Office (ONI) recalls that "Even if a person has changed residence within the same city or in the same constituency, it must inform the ONI office through which it had made made its CNI, in order to change its address and to be assigned to a polling station."
