Haiti - Dominican Republic : No extension for the PNRE..
Following the statements in the Haitian media of the Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, Daniel Supplice, who recently said about the Haitian Government program aiming at providing documents to nationals paperless "The Identification Program of Haitian immigrants (PIDIH) is a failure [...] it was badly built [...] The machine has not been established [...] Communication strategies have proven ineffective," adding "The extension of deadline of PNRE will be at the heart of the next meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission [...] I can not anticipate saying they will accept." ; Washington González, Vice Minister of the Interior and the police said in response in the Dominican media "there will be no extension to the National Plan of Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE)" whose deadline is June 17, 2015.

For the Dominican Vice Minister, on the Dominican side the plan is proceeding as expected, there is no reason to extend the deadline "The goal was to have more than 200,000 foreigners registered in the plan and to date there are already 200.600, noting that for those who have certain problems with their documentation, there will be other alternatives, without specifying which...

According to the Deputy Minister Gonzalez Washington within two months following the expiry of PNRE Dominican officials estimate that at least 30-40% of applicants' files will know if their application is accepted or rejected.
